are some daily first aid uses for essential oils?
*Cuts, bites and burns can be helped with neat (pure) oils of lavender and/or tea tree.
*For stress use lavender, clary sage, marjoram or tangerine in a massage* or a bath (15/20 drops in a handful of liquid soap).
*For constipation use coriander, peppermint, angelica and cardamom.
** *For colds or flu use eucalyptus, myrtle, cajeput, rosemary and peppermint in inhalations, diffuser or massage.
** *For indigestion use peppermint (direct inhalation) or massage with cedarwood, coriander and marjoram in equal proportions.
** *For insomnia use lavender, marjoram or neroli in the diffuser, on a pillow or in a bath.
*For rashes use lavender or camomile German in a massage oil. 10 - 15 drops of essential oil per 1oz of carrier oil (jojoba, hazelnut, squaline, evening primrose and vitamin E).
* For acne or other skin problems use tea tree, lavender, rosewood or palmarosa in a facial, mask, compress or face oil (7/8 drops in 1/2oz carrier.
*For headaches, use peppermint, rosemary, marjoram or lavender in the diffuser or direct inhalation. With the fingertips, rub less than one drop of peppermint on the temples.
*For improved circulation use rosemary, cypress, juniper, lemon, thyme red (one drop maximum) and cinnamon (one drop maximum) in baths or massage.
* *To detoxify use juniper, cypress, grapefruit and fennel in a body wrap, bath or massage.
* For self esteem use your favorite oils in a perfume and/or bath.
*For fears and phobias use rose, frankincense and ylang ylang in a perfume or diffuser. Remember... using essential oils is only one aspect of treating the above conditions.
