Sedona Teacher Training
AROMATHERAPY TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM

Six Day Teacher Training (Part Two)
Sedona, Arizona

October 18-23, 2003

Part Two completes course for Part I held November 26-30, 2002.

"Teaching is more than presenting or sharing information to a group of students. Teaching is inspiring others, through example, to strive for greatness by setting a standard that one can aim to achieve. It is demonstrating commitment and determination, to be in ones truth and to assist others to see there own reflection in order to realize that we are much more than what we think we are." Michael Scholes

Teacher Training II is the second part of a program that uses personal coaching skills to draw out your full potential using your own experiences as a catalyst to empowerment. In Teacher Training I, the focus was on the individual and finding the voice within each student, including making short presentations.

Focus of Teacher II is on empowering the teacher to go to the depths of their convictions and connect the heart with the mind. The class will focus on presenting long term programs that include certification, diploma courses and specially classes. WHAT IS TEACHER TRAINING?

A course designed to train the trainer in the art, science and heart of aromatherapy. Since Robert Tisserand wrote the Art of Aromatherapy in 1979 thousands of students have studied aromatherapy worldwide with many students choosing to teach this fascinating subject. Learning and teaching are two separate activities and just because you are well read and experienced does not automatically make you a good teacher. Most academics worldwide have difficulty presenting complex material effectively.

The Michael Scholes Teacher Training Program takes you behind the scenes of what it takes to become an effective aromatherapy teacher. Through a combination of personal experiences, theater games and personal coaching you will learn to develop the confidence necessary to become an effective presenter. Additionally, you will be presented written material on how to present material to a wide range of audiences, all within your own level of expertise, from short workshops to advanced programs. The program is designed to show the aromatherapy educator how to organize, implement and design a class from the subject matter itself to the marketing and advertising of your program. The student teacher will focus on aromatherapy knowledge and practical application, effective teaching techniques, teaching practice, preparing and structuring a class and focusing on the details of course planning. In addition, you will learn to understand your own blockages as a presenter. Be prepared to be helped and encouraged in a nurturing environment with teachers and assistants who know how you feel and are prepared to assist you.

Each day will be long so please be prepared to work. However, there will be plenty of time to see the beautiful landscape of Sedona and experience the magic of this sacred environment. There will be some free time and the day will be split between theory, teacher practice, group work, preparation, aromatherapy studies, blending and group activities.

Michael Scholes and Joan Clark presented the first Teacher Training Programs between 1994-1998 over four five day classes. Since that time the aromatherapy market has changed and the amount of information, including essential oil choices, has increased exponentially. These shifts have allowed us to rewrite the program and present a condensed version of the original program over two five-day classes (PART TWO will be presented in 2003). We have also added additional material allowing the students to immediately present classes. Please contact us regarding upcoming enrollment at:
